Jamshid recollects Kiyan's childhood training on technique giving the result

Kiyan became highest scorer in the First Division while playing for CFC.

Kiyan Nasiri’s superb goal in the 58th minute against Mohammedan Sporting on Thursday which brought Mohun Bagan back into the game reminded former India international Manas Bhattacharya of Kiyan's renowned father Jamshid Nasiri.

Manas Bhattacharya, presently a popular commentator was highly impressed by watching Kiyan's deft touch in the far corner of the box and mentioned, "Kiyan's famous father. Also, a striker Jamshid had scored similar goals many times."

Jamshid however did not watch the moment his son struck the beautiful goal. But he remembered saying, “I took Kiyan to Mohun Bagan ground once or twice a week when there was no scheduled match at the ground. Kiyan started playing football at that time. We used to practice only on technique for hours. We worked on the basics like receiving, chest-trapping, controlling, first-touch, and passing. Now, I feel the hard work is giving results.”

“Kiyan became the highest scorer twice while playing for CFC in the second and first division. He scored several memorable goals during that time.”

When asked whether Kiyan did not get a chance to play in the Durand Cup, the former Iranian striker of East Bengal and Mohammedan Sporting commented, "That is up to coach. But Kiyan should be given chances regularly."
