In a big blow to the Indian team, Jasprit Bumrah walked off the field after feeling discomfort on day two of the fifth Test of the BGT against Australia in Sydney on Saturday.

The live visuals from official broadcasters saw Bumrah leaving the stadium premises for a scan of his training kit with two support staff members.

Bumrah initially left the field 30 minutes before Lunch but later came back to the field. In the post-lunch session, Bumrah bowled just one over before once again went off the field.

There is no official comment by the Indian team regarding the injury to Bumrah.

With the absence of Rohit Sharma in the playing eleven, Virat Kohli took over the captaincy duties in Bumrah’s absence.

Bumrah has so far picked two wickets in his 10 overs in this game. Overall, the right-arm quick has picked 32 wickets in this series. India’s next best bowler in this series is Mohammed Siraj with 18 scalps.
