Kai Rooney says he gets huge support from his legendary father

Kai Rooney, the son of the legendary Wayne Rooney, participated in Gothia Cup for Manchester Grammar School (B-14).

In the first pre-quarterfinal match against the American side Scandia United SA at Kviberg, he scored in the first minute. He also scored a goal that didn’t count because of offside. Manchester Grammar School won with 2–0 that booked their place in the quarterfinal. 

Earlier on the day, he scored in the 6–0 victory over Vilnius Football Academy. He is Kai Rooney, the son of legendary Wayne Rooney. While playing in Gothia Cup he proved he is also great goal-scorer as his father was. 

Kai is a striker and he also wears number 10 jersey like his father. He has already scored a couple of nice goals in Gothia Cup 2023. He commented, "I am quite pleased with my performances. Obviously I could have been better, but generally I think that I have been quite good. I have scored a few goals."

He did not forget to divulge that his father is caring and always gives him tips about how to improve. Kai revealed, his father watched his matches in the Gothia Cup and even called up to send some advices. He added, “My father ants me also to play football professionally in future and my dreams are to win the Premier League, Champions League and the World Cup.”
