Kalyani plans to organize a farewell match for Syed Naimuddin

Kalyani is planning to help Syed Nayeemuddin. The former Indian international is the only Arjuna awardee footballer to have achieved the Dronacharya award as the coach has been going through dire financial distress for a long time. The captain of the Indian team in the 1970 Asian Games is now in Hyderabad for eye surgery.

Biplab Dey one of the members of the Kalyani Premier League (KPL) organizing committee said, "We are planning to organize a farewell match for Bengal football's one of the legends. Kalyani Municipality will also join us in organizing this match. We will try to accumulate money as much as possible and give him."

Biplab Dey who is busy with the ongoing Kalyani Premier League also revealed that they aim to bring up young promising footballers as well as encourage them financially. That is the reason no participating team has been allowed to play foreign footballers. Biplab said, "We want more footballers participating in the mainstream of Kolkata Premier League from this competition."

Out of these 12 teams, the top 4 teams will be awarded. Each team should have two players from Kalyani Assembly. He added, "The top four teams will be awarded. The champion team will get the prize of Rs 1.5 lakh. The first runner-up will get Rs 1lakh 25 thousand. The second runner up will get Rs 30 thousand and the fourth team will get Rs 20 thousand. Each of these teams must have two footballers from Kalyani.'
