Kerala Blasters FC and NorthEast United FC split points after securing 1-1 draw at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi on Saturday.

The first half of the match was eventful as in the 12th minute of the game, Nestor, who showed quick-feet and created some space for himself opened up his body to put the ball at the far-corner with a brilliant goal. He was assisted by Jithin who got the ball inside the box. 

As the game continued the hosts did not seem fazed, which is crucial after going down. KBFC kept their offensive formation and attacked the opponent, who in turn had a solid defense throughout the first half. There were a couple of opportunities missed for the hosts in the game. 

In the second half of the game on the 49th minute mark, KBFC managed to find an equaliser for themselves. Adrian Luna delivered a perfect cross inside the box from a free kick and Danish Farooq took the opportunity to guide the ball inside the net with his head.

The rest of the match was a plethora of moments and advances from both teams but each managed to hold the other back and secured a 1-1 draw.
