Ivan Vukomanović delivered a big win on his return as Kerala Blasters edge past Odisha FC 2-1 at the JLN Stadium in Kochi in their Indian Super League(ISL) match on Friday.

Kerala Blasters were off to a great start with their splendid offensive capabilities in the first half. However, in the 15th minute of the game, Odisha scored the opener as Diego Mauricio found the back of the net with a stunning right footed strike. And after just five minutes, Odisha FC got the opportunity to double their lead with back to back penalty shots. However, Blasters keeper Sachin Suresh showed off his top class goalkeeping and denied the penalties keeping the scoreline locked.

In the second half, as the home side trailed behind by one goal, they kept creating simultaneous promising chances. Finally, super sub Diamantakos scored the much anticipated equaliser for the Kerala Blasters amid the crowds wild cheers in the 65th minute. 

The tempo of the game went up as both sides gave it their all to win possession and push ahead in numbers. Captain Adrian Luna sealed the Blasters victory as he caught the keeper of his line and pushed the ball perfectly into the net. Kerala is currently occupying the second place in the points table with 10 points.
