V. Iyer scored 52 runs in just 26 balls!
In the IPL final at Chennai, KKR reached the target of 114 runs for the loss of only two wickets in just 10.3 overs, showcasing complete dominance. KKR's response was swift and emphatic. Gurbaz and V. Iyer led their batting charge, with V. Iyer scoring a half-century.
Despite SRH captain Cummins' valiant bowling effort, managing to take one wicket, KKR's batting prowess proved too much to handle.
Earlier Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) elected to bat first but struggled immensely, posting a meager total of 113 runs in 18.3 overs. Despite efforts from four players reaching double digits, SRH's batting lineup faltered against Kolkata Knight Riders' (KKR) formidable pace attack, spearheaded by Starc and Rana. Cummins top-scored for SRH with 24 runs.
With this victory, KKR clinched their 3rd IPL title on their home turf in Chennai once agian, in what turned out to be one of the most one-sided finals in IPL history.
