Kromah attacked with a severe 'stroke', recovering slowly in the hospital

The 31-year-old striker has scored 31 goals in total in 71 matches playing for different teams in last eight years.

Ansumana Kromah, the Liberian professional footballer who drew the attention of the Kolkata football fraternity in 2016-17 by his goal-scoring ability while making his debut in CFL Premier Division for Peerless SC and then represented several premier football teams has been attacked by severe 'stroke' three days ago. 

He suffered from the stroke while playing with his friends and was admitted to Lotus Hospital in Rajarhat, Kolkata. Kromah who lives in Kolkata with his Bengali wife and a daughter was admitted to the hospital by his friends.

According to former India international footballer Debjit Ghosh, one of the owners of the hospital, "While playing football with his friends he was attacked by the 'stroke' and immediately admitted to hospital. Part of his body has also been paralysed. Under the observation of Dr. Moukali Pal the footballer is recovering slowly.”

In his last eight years’ span of football journey in India, Kromah had donned the shirts of the city's two giants East Bengal and Mohun Bagan along with Churchill Brothers. Even he played for Neroca FC in the recently-concluded I-league and scored six goals in 10 matches. 

The 31-year-old striker has scored 31 goals in total in 71 matches playing for different teams in last eight years.
