Indian racing driver Kush Maini has etched his name in motorsport history, becoming the first Indian to win an FIA Constructors’ World Championship. The 24-year-old Formula Two (F2) sensation achieved this milestone with Invicta Racing at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Maini played a key role in Invicta Racing’s victorious campaign, securing five podiums, including a standout win in Hungary and a pole position in Jeddah that set the tone for their success. The team claimed the championship with a commanding 34.5-point lead over Campos Racing, Maini’s former team.

Maini further expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards Invicta Racing and focused on optimism, “Not the year I wanted it to be given how we started, but still a lot of positives to take away, including a Constructors’ Championship.”

He thanked the team, “Thank you to everyone at Invicta for a good run, and wish them all the luck for the future. Looking forward to what’s next for me and raring to go for next year.”

While the season was marked by highs and lows, Maini’s resilience stood out. In the final race, he delivered an impressive performance, gaining six positions in the sprint and three in the feature race after starting from sixth place. Despite mechanical setbacks and a stalled pit stop, Maini’s speed and determination played a pivotal role in Invicta Racing’s success.
