Indian shuttler Lakshya Sen delivered a commanding performance to defeat Indonesia's world No. 2 Jonatan Christie in straight games, advancing to the men's singles quarterfinals of the All England Open 2025. Sen won 21-13, 21-10 in just 36 minutes, narrowing his head-to-head record against Christie to 3-4.
Sen's agility and court coverage were evident as he took an early 11-7 lead in the first game. Although Christie briefly levelled the score at 12-12, Sen quickly regained control to clinch the game. The second game saw Sen dominate, leading 11-5 at the interval and maintaining his momentum to secure the match.
This victory avenges Sen's loss to Christie in the 2024 All England Open semifinals, where he was defeated 12-21, 21-10, 15-21.
