Lal Kamal says his gain is the boys’ confidence despite relegation

Rafikul Islam gave CFC the lead and Barun Oraon equalized the scoreline in the dying minutes of the game.

He took over the team as the coach when they were languishing with zero points in the Premier League table after five matches.

Mamoni & Ashiyana Pathachakra has not been able to rescue itself from relegation from the ongoing Premier Division. Playing out a 1-1 draw against CFC in their 11th League match at Naihati Stadium on Monday Pathachakra is now at four points. Even if they win and earn three points in their last match against Southern Samity their relegation will not be saved.

Still, Lal Kamal Bhowmick, the former India international and crafty midfielder seems relieved when he thinks that the completely demoralized footballers of his team have regained some confidence at least. They were being able to earn possession, create chances, and instill embarrassment in their respective oppositions' minds.

The scenario was also the same on the day. Mamoni & Ashiyana Pathachakra bottled up their opponent in their half in the 25 minutes playing an excellent passing game in the attacking third and creating sitters even. But scoring inability paid the price. Lal Kamal said, “Except for three or four footballers all others' average age is 18 years. They are playing in the Premier League for the first time. I knew they need a couple of years to earn maturity.”

He added, "Still, I tried to inspire them saying that quality performance would help them to get promoted to better teams including United Sports. Today, I can say, they followed my instructions and applied in the matches."

Lal Kamal is optimistic that a few footballers from this team will get offers from premier teams next season.  Rafikul Islam gave CFC the lead and Barun Oraon equalized the scoreline in the dying minutes of the game.
