Lal Kamal takes charge of Pathachakra, accepts the challenge of reviving the team

Mamoni & Ashiayan Pathachakra will play their next match against Dalhousie AC on Friday.

Mamoni & Ashiyana Pathachakra, after their four consecutive defeats in the ongoing CFL Premier Division this season, has replaced Rajarshi Ghosh by appointing the former India international Lal Kamal Bhowmik as the new coach. Pathachakra has not yet gathered a point in four matches.

The 36-year-old midfielder, after training with the boys for the last couple of days said, "Most of the players are young and inexperienced. Naturally, they lack the needed maturity. They also lack the required fitness. I will have to work on both the fitness and the footballers' mental strength. After consecutive defeats, they seem to be quite depressed. But I will not give up."

Mamoni & Ashiyana Pathachakra is also run by the management of United Sports SC. The club's director Nabab Bhattacharya commented on the issue, "Rajarshi has been in our youth development system for a long time. He is young and has the future of establishing himself as a coach at the club level. Lal Kamal was one of the most skilled midfielders of his time. We want to utilize his experience and quality for the young boys of Pathachakra."
