The target was 214. Punjab Kings despite losing the early wicket of experienced Shikhar Dhawan, did not give up. Atharva Taide (55) and Liam Livingstone (94) turned out to be the fighters. Both of them were instrumental, trying their best to guide the team to the target almost. They kept their team's hopes alive until the final over of the game. Their innings finally ended in 198 for the loss of eight wickets. 

Earlier, Prithvi Shaw and Rilee Rossouw registered half-centuries, scoring 54 and an unbeaten 82 runs respectively, propelling the Delhi Capitals to a formidable total of 213/2 in their allotted 20 overs against the Punjab Kings. Assisting them in the middle were David Warner, who contributed 46 runs, and Philip Salt with 26 runs. Despite their efforts, Sam Curran managed to dismiss two batsmen from the Delhi Capitals' lineup.

Punjab made two changes to their playing XI, introducing Atharva Taide and Kagiso Rabada. On the other hand, the Delhi Capitals brought back Prithvi Shaw and Anrich Nortje into their lineup. As we enter the last over, Ishant Sharma takes the ball. Livingstone swings at the first delivery and misses. With 33 runs needed from 5 balls, the second ball is struck for a six! The next ball, a full toss, results in a four! Another full toss follows, and it's hit for a six, but it's been deemed a no ball! David Warner expresses his frustration, and Delhi Capitals challenge the no ball decision.
