M S Dhoni, former Indian skipper, under whose captaincy India won the World Cup . On Monday M S Dhoni has been invited to attend the sacred ceremony of Ram Mandir, at Ayodhya, on January 22, 2024. Along with him, archer Deepika Kumari, folk singer Mukund Nayak are also invited among the 16 distinguished individuals from Jharkhand. According to PTI, Sachin Tandulkar has also received an invitation for the ‘Pran Pratistha’ ceremony of Ram Temple. 

Preparations for the occasion is underway with many other prominent persons being invited. It is expected to be a meeting of political leaders, athletes and other celebrities. Megastar Rajnikant, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Jackie Shroff and his son Tiger Shroff and many more have been invited already.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will preside over the ‘Pran Pratistha’ of Ram Lallla’s idol at the temple. 

Ahead of the ceremony the volunteers of RSS and VHP are reaching out to people across the country inviting them to be present at the ceremony. Vedic rituals of ‘Pran Pratistha’ ceremony of Ram Lalla, infant Lord Ram, will begin on January 16, a week before the main ceremony. Lakshmi Kant Dixit, a priest from Varanasi, will perform the main rituals.   

The local authorities are also gearing up to control the huge crowd. They are in the process of implementing enhanced security and logistical arrangements for smooth running of the ceremony.
