It is learnt that, East Bengal is likely to catch Punjab FC star player Madih Talal in their squad next season. In a social media post on platform X, Indian Super League side Punjab FC announced the departure of 14 players on Thursday. "With gratitude and pride, we bid farewell to our departing Shers," the club stated. The departing players are Dimitrios Chatziisaias, Mohamed Salah, Amarjit Singh Kiyam, Madih Talal, Sahil Tavora, Isaac Vanmalsawma, Krishnananda Singh, Juan Mera, Sweden Fernandes, Bidyashagar Singh, Luka Majcen, Daniel Lalhlimpuia, Prasanth Karuthadathkuni, and Wilmar Jordan.

Wilmar Jordan, Punjab's top scorer in the ISL with eight goals, has signed a one-year deal with Chennaiyin FC, becoming the Marina Machans' fifth signing for the 2024-25 season. Madih Talal, who led the league with 10 assists in the 2023-24 season, will also be a notable absence in Punjab's midfield.
