Manchester United is most likely to appoint Ruben Amorim as their upcoming manager. Sporting Lisbon has confirmed that the Red Devil are all set to pay a €10m (£8.3m) release clause for his services.

Manchester United sacked Erik ten Hag on Monday. Now they are on the move to acquire Ruben as their new manager. 

Amorim, 39, is a highly respected coach who has led Sporting to two Portuguese league titles, including their first in 19 years, since joining in 2020.

The final talk between Sporting and United fast tracked on Tuesday, the Portuguese coach might be at the dugout on Sunday’s Premier League match against Chelsea.
