MBSG interested in roping in Vanuatu defender Brian Kaltak

Brian who had played with MBSG’s World Cupper Jason Cummings in A-League, lifted the AFC CUP title with Central Coast Mariners.

Mohun Bagan SG is interested in Vanuatu national team defender Brian Kaltak. Brian who had played with MBSG’s World Cupper Jason Cummings in A-League, lifted the AFC CUP title with Central Coast Mariners on Monday night. But his contract with Central Coast Mariners will end in 2025. So MBSG will have to pay a transfer fee to secure this deal.

Meanwhile, the players whose contracts are ending in 2024 are Debnath Mondal, Brendan Hamil, Hector Yuste, Dippendu Biswas, Joni Kauko, Lalrinliana Hnamte, Dimitri Petratos and Kiyan Nassiri.

Among these footballers, Dimitri Petratos has already been confirmed for the next season while the club's top brass, although keen to extend the contract with Joni Kauko, has reportedly planned to conduct a fitness test for the footballers before taking the final decision on him.

Lalrinliana Hnamte and Kiyan Nassiri have confirmed they are leaving MBSG. Hector Yuste’s chances of getting an extended contract are remote while Dippendu Biswas can be offered a contract extension as Habas and a few of the team’s senior footballers like Petratos expressed satisfaction with Dippendu’s performance. It is learned that Debnath Mondal will be a new extension too.

Meanwhile, FIFA has released FIFA's futsal ranking for the first time. India men’s futsal team ranking is 135 out of 139.
