Mohun Bagan Super Giants also joined the race with East Bengal to rope in Lalengmawia Ralte, known as Apulia. The Mizoram midfielder has been talk-of-the-town already after his stellar performance with Mumbai City in the recently concluded ISL. 

Apuia is already contracted for one more season with the Mumbai outfit. But the club has reportedly a release cause where Apuia can be released only against the transfer fee of Rs 2.5cr. 

It is believed Mohun Bagan Super Giants top brass is in initial talks with Mumbai City FC regarding the transfer fee and it is also learnt that considering chances of joining MBSG is slightly ahead of its arch-rivals. 

Apuia has pulled out of the ongoing senior national preparatory camp, citing his urgency to sit in the examination.
