Mohun Bagan Supergiants has roped in Spanish defender Alberto Rodriguez from Indonesian club. On Friday 5th July MBSG has announced their another signing. Few days ago Green and Maroon brigade had signed centre back  Tom Aldred and now Alberto Rodriguez their new weapon in defensive lineup. It has been very clear message from Jose Molina that he wants a solid defensive lineup for his team. MBSG has signed two year deal with this Spanish footballer.

Last season Alberto Rodriguez had played for Indonesia’s Persib Bandung. He had appeared in 33 matches and left his mark. His excellent performance in defence and set piece ability attracted Mohunbagan coach Jose Molina. MBSG left no stone unturned to get him at their squad.  Alberto Rodriguez is very much excited to join Green and Maroon side.

Along with Persib Bandung Alberto Rodriguez had played for Villarubia, Tamarecite and Lugo. He had 13 goals on his name. After announcement of his signing Alberto express his desire to play for MBSG side, he stated, “I followed the Indian Super League games for several years. MBSG showed their dominant performance last season. While one of the main reasons to sign for this club was their huge fan base. My main goal is to win trophy for MBSG”.

Mohunbagan coach Jose Molina also very excited for him. He thinks Alberto Rodriguz’s aggressive mentality and special defensive ability will help them to execute their plan very well.
