MBSG thrash Bengaluru 4-0; wait for another triumph against Mumbai

It is believed that Sunil Chhetri played his last ISL this season and might join the technical team of BFC from next season.

Mohun Bagan Super Giants (MBSG) trounced Bengaluru FC 4-0 in their crucial ISL away match at Kanteerava Stadium on Thursday. 

MBSG now with 45 points from 21 matches is waiting for another triumph against Mumbai City FC to clinch the covetous title finally on 15th April at the Salt Lake Stadium. Mumbai City FC is presently at the top of the table with 47 points in as many matches. 

Hector Yuste drew first blood for the winner in the 17th minute. Manveer Singh doubled the lead in the 51st minute. Aniruddh Thapa scored the third goal three minutes on and Armando Sadiku sealed the opposition's fate in the 59th minute. 

In a one-sided affair on the day, Bengaluru FC had almost nothing in its kitty except Sunil Chhetri’s missing the spot-kick in early the match. Chhetri’s right footer rebounded off the cross-piece.

It is believed that Sunil Chhetri played his last ISL this season and might join the technical team of BFC from next season.
