MBSG to play against tough teams in ACL-2

Mohun Bagan Super Giants, having earned direct qualification for the AFC Asian Champions League-2 for the 2024-25 season will have to fight against stronger teams from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Iran, UAE, Uzbekistan, Iraq, Jordan, Tajikistan, Kuwait, and Turkmenistan. 

The Asian Football Confederation has released the list of the participating teams which have earned direct qualification for the competition. 

East Bengal also has acquired eligibility to take part in the competition, but indirectly. Along with the Red-and-Gold, there are teams from Tajikistan, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Turkmenistan. 

Incidentally, the All India Football Federation (AIFF) has started inviting applications for an experienced head coach for the men’s senior national team as well as for the under-23 national team. The deadline for applications ends on 3rd July.
