Mohammedan Sporting Club and Goa FC battled to a hard-fought draw of  1-1 on Saturday. While Mohammedan SC took the early lead in the match, they couldn’t secure their win against the fascinating Goa FC. 

Goa FC showcased tough defence from the beginning of the game as Franca took several opportunities to score in the net Kattimani acted as a wall between him and goal. 

Nim Dorjee and Dejan Drazic were booked for a bad foul against Mohammedan SC. The first half of the game remained goalless. 

After the second half, at 66 minutes Alexis Gomez took a penalty shot and secured a lead for Mohammedan, scoring their first goal in the ISL season. 

Goa FC’s equaliser came 4 minutes into the stoppage time with Armando Saidku delivering a stunning header into the net. Despite both teams playing with renewed intensity, neither could assert dominance and secure the win today.

Earlier on Saturday Jamshedpur FC secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory against Mumbai City at JRD Tata Sports Complex. Nikos Karelis scored the first goal for Mumbai City. Jordan Murray scored the equaliser at 36 minutes. Later on, Hernández scored two goals for Jamshedpur FC sealing their lead. Though, Yoell van Nieff scored the second goal for Mumbai City but couldn't solidify their win for today. 

Jamshedpur FC has now secured the second position in the ISL chart winning their second consecutive match this season.
