MDSC lose at home against spirited Kerala Blasters

The match at Kishore Bharati Stadium on Sunday was briefly interrupted due to crowd violence.

Mohammedan SC suffered a narrow 1-2 loss against Kerala Blasters FC in a closely contested battle. Before kick-off, Mohammedan SC made subtle yet significant tweaks to their lineup, as Angousana and Bikash were introduced in place of Amarjit and Chothe. 

KBFC suffered a penalty at 27 minutes however Franca was brought down by KBFC goalkeeper Som Kumar. 

Kerala Blasters showed their aggressive stance from the beginning of the game, and MSC was seen trying to stretch the defence. 

Mirjalol Kasimov secured the lead for Mohammedan SC in the 28th minute of the match. The home side took the lead and the visitors were seen in pressure. 

After the second half K. Peprah scored the equaliser for KBFC with the assistance of Noah in the 67th minute. 

However, in the 75th minute, Jimenez solidified the lead for KBFC. Noah even after creating a ruckus in the MSC defence missed a golden opportunity to score the net. 

The match at Kishore Bharati Stadium was briefly paused due to crowd violence after the second goal, as MSC fans started throwing bottles at KBFC fans.

Samad got booked after the dangerously tackled Noah. 

After the defeat, MSC is in 11th position on the chart with 4 points. Kerala Blasters secured the 5th position with 8 points.
