Mohammedan Sporting Club is trying to rope in Brazilian midfielder Bruno Ramires ahead of the mini derby on Saturday. With Ghanaian defender Joseph Adjei sidelined due to injury—missing the recent match against Hyderabad—the black-and-white brigade is scouting top talent to reinforce their lineup.

Although Joseph returned to training after recovering, he faced further issues, leaving his participation in the derby still uncertain. His absence exposed gaps in their defence, prompting Mohammedan to look for reliable options like Ramires to bolster their squad for the crucial derby.

East Bengal FC and Mohammedan SC are occupying the 12th and 11th positions in the ISL rank chart, respectively. While East Bengal has yet to win a match in the ISL season, they have clinched a win against Nejmeh, securing their participation in the knockout stage in Asia in 11 years for the AFC Challenge League.
