Gavaskar said Rohit should take a break from a few matches and return for the last couple of matches before heading to London.
After BBCI announced the 15-member squad for the World Test Championship, batting legend Sunil Gavaskar suggested that Rohit Sharam, the Mumbai Indian Captain, should take a rest from a few matches in the ongoing IPL.
Gavaskar said he should take a break from a few matches and return for the last couple of matches before heading to London.
After Mumbai Indian’s defeat against Gujarat Titans Gavaskar said on Star Sports “I would like to see some change in MI batting line-up.” He added, “Rohit can come back for the last few matches but right now he should take a little bit of a breather himself.”
Mumbai Indian coach Mark Boucher, in response to Gavasker’s statement, gave a smashing reply. Speaking to the media, ahead of MI match against Rajasthan Royals at the Wankhede Stadium, Boucher said “I don’t think Rohit should take rest. Obviously, we want him playing. He is a good player and a good leader as well.” He added that if Rohit himself urges for a rest then it may be considered else if he is available he will play.
