Mohammedan Sporting advanced to the third position in their group in the league table with a 2-1 victory against spirited Mamoni & Ashiyana Pathachakra at Bankimanjali Stadium, Naihati on Thursday. 

Israful Dewan gave Mohammedan Sporting the lead in the first half. Debashis Haldar equalized through a spot-kick in the dying moments of the first half and Mahitosh Roy finally brought full three points for the black-and-white brigade in the additional time from another spot-kick. 

Mohammedan Sporting coach Hakim and defender James Singh saw red cards. 

Mohammedan Sporting have garnered 13 points from their seventh match while Pathachakra are languishing with only one point from six matches.
