Mohammedan Sporting gave walk-over of their opening match in the Kanyasree Cup women’s League on Thursday. The match was scheduled to be held at Mohammedan Sporting ground against New Alipore Suruchi Sangha. 

The reason behind their walk-over was their failure in fielding the team. The referees waited for half-and-hour after the scheduled time of play and declared Mohammedan Sporting’s walk-over. 

However, West Bengal Police Sports Club earned full points beating Invention Football Coaching Centre 5-0 in their group league match of the ongoing Kanyasree Cup at Rabindra Sarobar Stadium on Thursday. Remi scored hat-trick while Payel and Kanika scored one each for the winner. 

In another league match of the League held at BR Ambedkar Stadium in Gayeshpur, West Bengal Police Sports Club defeated Matua Sarojini Naidu Orient Sports Club by 3-1. 

Neha, Rani and Sangita scored for the winner while Sabina Khatun made the score-line 1-3, scoring suicidal goal Sarojini Naidu Orient Sports Club.
