
Goals from Kasimov and Eddie Hernandez make sure Mohammedan continue their unbeaeten run with 3 more points against Sreenidi Deccan FC.
7 matches into the I-League season already but none of the teams have been able to outplay Mohammedan Sporting yet as they remain unbeaten with 6 wins and a draw to their name. Mohammedan at home are always a force to reckon and so was it today against Sreenidi Deccan FC.
It was a clash between the top 2 teams of the league table, which always is an intriguing fixture and a chance to create a lead on points at the top of the table. Mohammedan took the lead in the 37th minute with their key man Kasimov striking on his return to I-League action after suspension.
Some alterations and changes made sure Mohammedan had more control in the game and they soon doubled their lead in the 59th minute of the match with Eddie Hernandez getting a goal to his name as well. Sreenidi were in trouble but with sparks at the ending stages from their youngstar Biaktea, they managed to earn a penalty and reduce the deficit to 2-1.
Mohammedan were too strong eventually and sealed the victory by a 2-1 margin. With this result, Mohammaden went 3 points clear on top of the table with 19 points from 7 matches at the moment.
