Mohammedan's winning streak continues, United Sports stunned by Southern

However, Diamond Harbor FC garnered full three points defeating Calcutta Football Club 2-0 in another CFL Premier Division match.

Mohammedan Sporting's winning streak continues as the Black Panthers won their consecutive third match in the ongoing CFL Premier Division with a 4-0 victory against Mamoni & Ashiyana Pathachakra on Tuesday at home.

David drew the first blood for the winners. Barreto, Bikash Singh, and Sujit Singh scored the remaining goals.

However, Diamond Harbor FC garnered full three points defeating Calcutta Football Club 2-0 in another CFL Premier Division match. Peerless also ensured full three points with a lone-goal victory against Tollygunge Agragami.

But Southern Samity did the upset in the CFL Premier Division on Tuesday, stunning United Sports by a solitary goal scored by Saugata Hansda in injury time. Both teams were able to create chances. The assistant coach of United Sports Anjan Nath however admitted, "We need one experienced striker whose conversion ability will be impressive. Otherwise, we are creating chances, but not being able to convert."

On the other hand, Ranjan Bhattacharya revealed saying, "Under my coaching, United Sports has conceded defeats several times since 2015. Today also, they dominated the first session but the second half was ours. We also created opportunities but scoring inability became the major obstruction in increasing the number of goals."

Bhattacharya felt Southern Samity which has garnered only four points in their three matches, need the victory today to gain confidence and that was acquired. But at the same time, Bhattacharya seems quite worried about the injuries his three first-eleven footballers suffered. One of the injured was the team's first goalkeeper.
