Before their AFC Champions League encounter against the Tajik team today, on Wednesday, the Mohun Bagan Super Giants (MSGB) coach seemed worried.

Despite recruiting 7 foreign players he might have to field only 4 of them. In contrast, the opponent team FC Ravshan will play with 7 foreigners. 

The injury of the top goal scorer in A-league, Jamie MacLaren’s injury was already a bad news for MBSG. Now make matters worse, the Stopper Alberto Rodriguez is now injured and couldn't come to the practice. Understandably, the coach raised concerns in a press conference about the uncertain appearance of McLaren, like Alberto, in Wednesday's match.

Molina when asked about MacLaren, he stated - "Jamie is improving day by day. But I still haven't decided whether to play him or not.”

MacLaren was spotted training at Yuva Bharati today. When questioned about his potential involvement in the upcoming AFC Champions League match, he responded, - “I've made it to the field. Now, it's up to the coach and doctor to decide whether I'll play in Wednesday's game or not.”

Meanwhile, there's no doubt that tonight's clash at Salt Lake Stadium will be intense, with MBSG aiming to secure a victory in their home ground. However, the absence of key players like Rodriguez and MacLaren could place them at a significant disadvantage.
