
Syndrela now is eying for another ‘podium-finish’ in the introductory Singapore Youth Smash championship, scheduled to be held in Singapore from 6th to 9th February.
Syndrela Das won the D. Vishwa Trophy' for the 'Most Promising Player of the Year' award also along with a bronze medal in the women's singles in the recently-concluded senior national championship in Surat.
The 15-year-old table tennis player, who was double-crowned in Under-17 and Under-19 in the National Ranking tournament in Thiruvananthapuram last year, also reached the quarterfinal in the same competition in the women's category, stunning India's second-ranked paddler Yashaswini Ghorpade.
She also had a consistent performance in three consecutive National Ranking competitions last year before winning the gold medal in Italy in the Under-15 girls’ category.

When asked about the key factors behind consistency Syndrela explained, “I feel, playing international competitions and at the same time, chief national coach Massimo Constantini's guidance and advanced training at our academy, especially the fitness training under our football coach Subhas Chakrabarty is helping me to maintain the consistency.”
The students at Dhanuka Dhunseri Soumyadeep Roy Poulomi Ghatak Academy take part in 'fun sessions' for a long time where they play football. Syndrela also plays football since she started training there.
But commenting on increasing fitness level, Syndrela explained, “Playing football and other athletic training under our football coach Subhas Chakrabarty, a former East Bengal footballer is helping us to improve the fitness. My coaches also feel I will have to improve my fitness level more.”
“This apart, we get advanced training in different aspects like sequence practice, service practice, and in other aspects also. Simultaneously, Constantini's guidance has helped me to develop technically."

Syndrela now is eying for another ‘podium-finish’ in the introductory Singapore Youth Smash championship, scheduled to be held in Singapore from 6th to 9th February. Even after returning from Surat on Monday, Syndrela does not want to take a rest. She will resume training on Wednesday.
