Since the now-inoperative Formula One Indian Grand Prix,
India is finally hosting a high scale event such as this. Dorna Sports, the event's promoter and right's holder alongside Fairstreet have created a seven-year memo of understanding for the race in India, but only the weekend will tell how the event's future plays out.
Earlier this year India received it's first FIA World Championship status in ten years. It was when the Formula E race was conducted in Hyderabad. However after failing to secure a spot on the provisional calender for 2024 it's highly unlikely that the championship will come back. The disrupted preparations by the local organizers displeased Formula E.
