Just a couple of days remain before the IPL 2025 Retention Deadline Mahendra Singh Dhoni has opened up, revealing that he will be participating in the IPL next year. He has also disclosed that he wants to enjoy the last few years of cricket left in him before hanging up his boots.

It is believed that CSK will retain their superstar for IPL next year and the franchise is also likely to allow MS Dhoni to go under the hammer in the IPL Mega Auction. However, in all probability, Dhoni is likely to be retained as an uncapped player.

"I just want to enjoy whatever last few years of cricket I can play. When you play cricket like a professional sport, it becomes difficult to enjoy it just like a game. That's what I want to do. It's not easy. The emotions keep coming, the commitments are there. I want to enjoy the game for the next few years," said Dhoni.

Dhoni claimed that he wants to enjoy the last few years left as he ends the twilight of his career. On the other hand, he explains that he understands the emotions while claiming that cricket as a professional sport is extremely difficult. But as things stand, he is in no way ready to quit.
