Bangladesh's experienced batsman Mushfiqur Rahim showed his class in the second ODI against Ireland. He scored 100 runs off 60 balls with 14 fours and 2 sixes. Mushfiqur finally got a century after 2021 with aggressive batting. Besides, this century of his has set the record for the fastest century in ODIs for Bangladesh. Many people think that he has returned to form after a long time. Explosive Mushfiqur appeared in the first match against Ireland. After playing an inning of 44 runs off 26 balls, he indicated his return to form.

Shakib Al Hasan has been the fastest ODI hundred for Bangladesh so far. Mushfiqur overtook that century after 14 years with 63 balls. The 35-year-old cricketer scored the ninth century of his ODI career with just 60 balls. After Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan, he became the third Bangladeshi to complete seven thousand runs in ODI cricket. Bangladeshi opener Liton Das praised Mushfiqur. He said, "Feelings are very good. To be honest, no Bangladeshi player has ever scored 100 in the last time I have been playing. When someone from the team scores a century like that, it's great to see. It's better if the seniors do it."

Irish all-rounder Curtis Camper also praised Mushfiqur's batting. "I think Mushfiqur's innings would be a very impactful inning," Camper said at the press conference. "He's a class cricketer. ... The way he impacted the game, batted freely at the wicket, played spectacular - innovative shots - that was very good for Bangladesh."

Bangladesh-Ireland's second ODI was abandoned after the Mushfiqur storm on Monday. On this day, Bangladesh averaged huge innings. Liton  Das returned to Ran on this day. Nazmul Hossain Shanto also got runs. Liton Das scored a half-century after seven innings. He scored 70 runs off 71 balls in the opening.
