The 36-year-old characteristic Uruguayan forward who donned shirts of Liverpool, Barcelona and Atlético, left Gremio after having spent for one year since last January.

After the emotional goodbye in front of the fans of the Porto Alegre team, Luis Suarez , now a free agent, spoke about his future and did so in these terms:

“What speaks is my body and the pain I feel on the day. I have earned the right to decide, to say enough is enough and to enjoy the place where I play.”

Suarez revealed, “I have to think that in five years I may not be able to play soccer with my friends. The truth is that the first steps in the morning are very painful. Anyone who sees me thinks that it is impossible for me to play a game. My son asks me to play with him and I cannot.”

Interestingly, David Beckham’s Inter Miami is reportedly waiting for Suarez to join Lionel Messi in his final innings of football career. It is learned that the US-based club already had a fruitful discussion with the Uruguayan forward.

“Inter Miami is determined to close the deal with Luis Suarez in the coming weeks as he leaves Gremio as a free agent. 'We're going to miss him, for sure. He was very loved by everyone, said Gremio coach Renato Gaucho.
