Naihati Table Tennis fraternity seeks ‘justice for RG Kar’ also

The city’s table tennis fraternity has not yet demonstrated any protest rally so far.

The table tennis fraternity of Naihati, North 24 Parganas stepped out of their houses and made a rally across the township, seeking ‘justice for RG Kar’ on Sunday.

Two India international paddlers from Naihati Sutirtha Mukherjee and Ayhika Mukherjee who are currently busy participating in the ongoing UTT in Chennai sent a video message to the people of Naihati, seeking justice for RG Kar victim also.

The procession consisting of nearly 200 people including the guardians of the table tennis students, and the players was led by Mihir Ghosh, the coach who was rewarded with the 'Mahaguru' award by the state government. 

Ghosh revealed, "The table tennis fraternity of Naihati town joined the rally spontaneously irrespective of their political bias. Nearly 200 people including the students of my academy joined the rally, walking almost 10 kilometers across the town."

Significantly, the city’s table tennis fraternity has not yet demonstrated any protest rally so far.
