Neeraj Chopra on how Jan Zelezny is guiding him to fulfill the 90-meter goal

Double Olympic medallist Neeraj Chopra revealed how legendary javelin thrower Jan Zeleny is moulding his technique to achieve to help him achieve the goal of throwing 90 meters. 

Neeraj revealed that Zelezny - a three-time Olympic gold medalist has been working on changing certain aspects of his technique. Speaking exclusively to India Today, Neeraj revealed that Zelezny has been tweaking his technique to improve the angle of his throw.

The javelin star was confident that if everything was going in a perfect direction it would help him to achieve the target of throwing 90 meters. Neeraj (89.34m) was beaten by Arshad Nadeem's incredible 92.97m throw In the Paris Olympics.

“I believe a 90+ throw is happening soon. He (Jan Zelezny) has made some technical adjustments to my game. I have worked with Klaus Bartonietz, but Zelezny has his ideas about things. He feels that his tweaks would help me. I've been able to understand what he expects from me.”

He continued, "One of the mistakes that he told me about was how I was throwing very low even in Paris and that I was leaning towards the left. If I can incorporate those changes, I think I will get a lot better," Neeraj told India Today about working with Zelezny.
