Netherlands claim 38-run victory against South Africa

This is the first time Netherlands have beaten a Test-playing nation in the 50-over World Cup

Netherlands beat mighty South Africa by 38 runs at the rain-hit match on Tuesday at Dharamsala.

South Africa chased 246 for victory and folded for 207 in a big upset.

The Netherlands were reduced to 140/7 in the 34th over however, captain Scott Edwards made a superb comeback with 78 runs score. South Africa's fielding also become ragged at the end which led to the Netherlands scoring 245/8. 

South Africa had gotten off to a good start with captain Temba Bavuma and Quinton de Kock showing off a steady opening round. However, they collapsed between the 8th and the 12th overs. Heinrich Klaasen fell while the score was 89.

Earlier the 43-over-per-side contest was delayed by almost two hours due to rain. Kagiso Rabada struck twice, while Marco Jansen and Gerald Coetzee swiped a wicket each as Netherlands lost four wickets with 50. 

Meanwhile, both sides made one change each as Gerald Coetzee replaces Tabraiz Shamsi in Proteas and Logan van Beek, who swiped three wickets in this match and had missed the previous encounter due to hamstring has now returned to Netherlands' team.
