Netherlands spinner Aryan Dutt aspires of dismissing Virat Kohli

Dutch team faces India on Sunday, 12th November at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.

Netherlands’ spinner Aryan Dutt said that he aspires to dismiss Virat Kohli in World Cup 2023. If he stays fit or barring any unforeseen circumstances, Dutt will have his chance when the Dutch team faces India on Sunday, 12th November at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.

“All wickets are important for me, but I would love to dismiss Kohli. I consider that wicket as the best gift in this World Cup,” Dutt was quoted as saying on the sidelines of an event on Tuesday, 31st October.

Kohli has been in stupendous form in the ongoing edition of the mega event on Indian soil. Although he failed to open his account against England, the 34-year-old has notched 354 runs from six matches at an average of 88.50 with a top score of 103 not out against Bangladesh at the MCA Stadium in Pune.

Dutt, on the other hand, has been impressive for the Netherlands as he has picked up eight wickets from six matches at an economy rate of 4.96. The off-spinner has also bowled well in the power-play when batters try and take advantage of the fielding restrictions.

“I believe in my strengths and don’t worry much about the batters facing me. My focus is on consistently hitting the right lengths and using my speed and turn to outfox the batsmen,” he stated.
