New sensation in European football with Brazil wonder boy 15-year-old Gabriel Mec

Gabriel Mec is considered one of the most promising talents in Brazil, and his potential has attracted attention from multiple clubs.

Brazil is renowned for producing some of the world’s finest football talents, many of whom find success at European clubs. Historical giants like Real Madrid and Barcelona have a history of poaching young Brazilian players, and Arsenal has joined the ranks of clubs going down that route.

According to the reports in leading Brazilian newspapers Arsenal has already taken an interest in a 15-year-old prodigy currently being developed at Gremio.

Gabriel Mec is considered one of the most promising talents in Brazil, and his potential has attracted attention from multiple clubs.

The report suggests that Arsenal is closely monitoring Mec’s development and may consider striking a deal to bring him to Europe when he becomes eligible to play for them. This reflects the club’s commitment to identifying and nurturing young talent for the future.

Interestingly, Gremio FC officials also, having realized Mec’s potential, has signed an image licensing and exploitation agreement with the 15 year-old prodigy. The aim of the agreement is to establish the first professional relationship with the young man and ensure his permanence until he can sign the contract. The business model is the same as what was done by Santos with Neymar.

The boy's managers sold a portion of the licensing for the use of Mec's image. The negotiation was similar to what Neymar's father did when his son was at Peixe's academy. It is no coincidence that the company owned by the father of the Selecao number 10 is responsible for managing the image of the Gremio jewel.

Gremio's intention is to guarantee Gabriel Mec's continuity at the club, as the young athlete will only be able to sign a professional contract in April next year, when he will turn 16. The young man's staff has already received demand from European clubs, such as Arsenal and PSG.

Mec currently plays for the under-17 team and is expected to undergo a trial period with the under-20 team.

This year, Gremio was champion of Efipan, a traditional youth championship and one of the main ones in the under-15 category. Gabriel Mec was voted the best player in the competition. Furthermore, he was part of the under-17 team that won the Campeonato Gaúcho title in the category.

The club is closely analyzing the player's evolution, especially physical development, and believes that he can be part of the group that will compete in the next São Paulo Junior Football Cup, in January 2024.
