New WFI secretary’s stern letter to IOA, junior competitions to be held this week

Lochab is part of the government machinery and secretary of the Railway Sports Promotion Board.

Prem Chand Lochab, the newly-elected secretary of Wrestling Federation of India’s (WFI) sent a stern letter to the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) alleging that newly elected president Sanjay Singh took the decision of organizing junior competitions without involving him in an executive committee meeting, which was held without any notice or quorum.

Lochab is part of the government machinery and secretary of the Railway Sports Promotion Board. 

According to The Indian Express, immediately after Lochab’s letter Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh made a request to Sanjay Singh to conduct national championships for under-15 and 20 categories before the end of the year and order was issued announcing junior competitions will be staged in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh from 28th to 30th December.
