Nilanjan Bhattacharjee writes again to Prime Minister about the IWL-2 scandal in Goa

Mapusa police arrested the accused Deepak Sharma, the AIFF’s executive committee member following complaint lodged by the two girl footballers.

Former legal head of the All India Football Federation (AIFF) Nilanjan Bhattacharjee who was removed from his chair, has again sent an email to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union Sports Ministry, making them aware of the scandalous incidents that took place in Goa during the second division group league matches of the Indian Women’ League (IWL).

Bhattacharjee also sent an email to the Prime Minister once before, revealing the allegations of improper activities against the AIFF top brass. 

This time also he made a request to the PM and Union Sports Ministry to intervene and make an ultimate solution to the controversial issues. 

Bhattacharjee said, "The scandal that took place in Goa was horrible. The more shocking news was that AIFF women's football committee head and Khad FC manager’s effort to compel the affected two girl footballers to withdraw their complaints.” 

Significantly, Mapusa police arrested the accused Deepak Sharma, the AIFF’s executive committee member following complaint lodged by the two girl footballers.
