Following the promise of clearing their due salaries of the last couple of months from the Mohammedan Sporting Club officials, all the footballers joined training on Thursday afternoon, two days before their crucial away match against Mumbai City FC on 26th January in the ISL.

The footballers were adamant and refused to join training for the last couple of days demanding their due salaries for the last two months. 

The officials had a meeting with the footballers on the day before the start of the training at Salt Lake Stadium and it is believed that they have again promised the footballers to clear their due salaries as early as possible. Club secretary Ishtiaque Ahmed said on the issue, “There is no problem. Everything has been cleared!” 

But the 'administrative' stalemate has not yet been over. The lawyers of the investors and the club had a long discussion on Wednesday and according to a senior club official decision was taken to ask Bunker Hill, the original investor submit an undertaking to Mohammedan Sporting regarding the transfer of shares to Shrachi Sports and clear a few other expenses.

However, it is learned that Mohammedan Sporting Club has not yet sent the e-mail to Bunker Hill for undertaking and the investor might not be willing to give any undertaking for sharing of 30.5 percent share to Shrachi Sports. 

It is also learned that several cricket players of Mohammedan Sporting have submitted an appeal letter to the club’s president, demanding their due salaries of last few months. 

However, the footballers looked spirited in their training on the day. They had mainly ‘with-ball’ training session on the day. The team will make the final training session on the 24th and 25th of January also before leaving for Mumbai on 25th January.
