Bala Devi has not officially taken any such resolution on her 35th birthday on Sunday. She is at home in Manipur after a couple of months and had a birthday celebration as expected. "The wish and celebration with my family was the best gift I got on my birthday," revealed Bala Devi.

Sreebhumi FC however in their maiden elite Indian Women’s League (IWL) are struggling at the sixth position with three points in for matches. Bala who recently reached the landmark of scoring her 50th goal for the country in the SAFF Championship against Pakistan last year, seems struggling with her scoring prowess in the ongoing IWL.

“I have been able to score only one goal so far. Our team has potential young girls who have a lot of energy. Still, I feel, inexperience in the team is the obstruction to our unimpressive result so far.”
Sreebhumi FC coach Sujata Kar, when asked about the issue explained, “It is not that we are not being able to deliver. But missed chances have caused poor results so far. Moushumi Murmu deserved a hat-trick in the match we lost to Odisha FC 2-1 at home. Chances are being created but due to strikers' failure, we are being forced to concede defeats.”
She continued, "Still, I am optimistic. We have 11 more matches and we will get a month's break after our away match against Odisha FC on 6th February. I want to make full utilization of that one month through intensive training.”
Bala Devi who has already acquired a C-license coaching degree, has a desire to complete advanced coaching degrees and join full-time coaching.
"Let us see. I can continue for one more year and then join full-time coaching. In that case, I can start with the development of women's football in Manipur," added the India striker.
