Considering the development, Spanish coach Oscar Bruzon seems a frontrunner in the race for East Bengal's new coach's post. 

The Red-and-Gold management has also shortlisted former Bengaluru FC coach Albert Roca for the job. However, it is learned that the club might finally rope in Bruzon, as his financial demands seem to be less than those of Roca. 

Oscar Bruzon has experience coaching club teams in India, such as Sporting Clube de Goa, Mumbai City, and Mumbai FC. The Spanish coach worked as the interim chief coach of Bangladesh senior national football for the SAFF championship in 2021.

On the contrary, Albert Roca, also a Spanish who worked as the Technical Consultant of Bengaluru FC last season before working as the chief coach with the team to take them to the ISL and AFC Cup finals, has also a formidable experience working as the coach of El Salvador and Saudi Arabia. He also worked as the fitness coach for Galatasaray and Barcelona. 

The club is likely to make the selection of a new coach by the end of this week. 

However, Soul Crespo has confirmed to the club officials that he is fit to take part in the team's next ISL match against Jamshedpur FC.
