Oscar Bruzon has finally signed as East Bengal’s new head coach on Tuesday as expected.

The YouTube version of Parallel Sports revealed the news of Bruzon's joining Red-and-Gold brigade first last week. 

In a statement released by East Bengal's investor, Emami Group has informed the Spanish manager is contracted with the team till the end of this season. 

Bruzon has been the most successful coach in Bangladesh Premier League history, having guided Bashundhara Kings to make sparkling statistics with 94 victories in 114 matches between 2018 and 2024! During this period Bashundhara Kings lost in only seven matches and drew in 13 matches. 

Bruzon however commented after signing the contract, “I am determined to make most of the opportunity being aware of the goals set by East Bengal Club management. It is a privilege and massive responsibility to manage a historical institution like East Bengal.”

Bruzon also expressed hope stating that East Bengal would deliver an inspiring performance in the AFC Challenge League. He specifically mentioned the club's fans stating, "I want to give a big applause to East Bengal fans for their unwavering support.”
