Padukone's Support for Lakshya Unshaken Despite Fourth-Place Finish

Now the focus being the upcoming tournaments, Lakshya needs to be on his best fitness, he has headed to Austria for a detailed assessment of his body, to build his specific strength aspects.

India’s very first male shuttler to ever be qualified for the quarter-final round in the Olympics, Lakshya Sen. 

In a recent interview with Humans of Bombay Lakshay, overwhelmed with gratitude towards the Padukone family, said the acclaimed Bollywood top actress Deepika Padukone called him after he lost the bronze match. 

“They have been really supportive. Even after the bronze medal match, she called me and said ‘It’s fine; don’t worry. You did good.’ ” expressed Sen. 

He secured the fourth position as he lost his bronze bout to Malaysia’s Zii Jia Lee and lost the opportunity to clinch a medal for the nation.
