Bhawanipore is maintaining the lead as the team came back to winning habit after a draw against East Bengal in their previous match as the team rode Jobby Justin's strike to edge past Calcutta Customs in their CFL Premier League match on Sunday. Bhawanipore FC now after their 8th match has garnered 19 points to stay on the League table in their group. 

Mamoni & Ashiyana Pathachakra again salvaged some pride after Lal Kamal Bhowmick took over the team as they forced fancied Army Red to share points with a 1-1- draw. Sadikul Biswas scored Pathachakra while Ajendra Singh scored for Army Red. 

Among the other CFL Premier Division matches on the day, Kidderpore drubbed George Telegraph 3-1, Aryan trounced BSS Sporting Club 3-0 and Eastern Railway defeated Wari AC by a brace.
