Philippe N'Dioro wants potential youth Indian footballers develop in French academies

The former Cameroon international has desire to help Indian football through the promotion of youth development program

Phillipe N'Dioro who is a former Cameroon international footballer has the desire to scout talents in Indian football in near future and give them a break by offering an opportunity to them to train at top French football academies.

The 60-year-old former international striker who has experience playing with Africa's one of all-time greats from Cameroon, Roger Milla originally hails from the capital of Cameroon, Yaounde. Despite being in the senior national squad for the 1990 World Cup, Philippe was unfortunately ruled out of the mega event after having broken his knee.

Then he started working as a scout, exploring young talents and providing an opportunity for them to train in the top French club academies. As Phillipe has long experience representing leading French teams like Olympic Lion and Nice, the clubs engaged Phillipe in a scouting job.

Phillipe while speaking over the phone from Paris revealed, "I work as a scout of different leading French Clubs including Olympic Lion and Nice and my work places are different countries in Africa and Indonesia."

However, Philipe who has several memorable experiences as a footballer, especially about the exhibition match where he accompanied legends like Johan Cruyff and Johan Neeskens, sounded skeptical about the football development in Indonesia. He explained, "Indonesian football has several talented youth players. But it lacks the proper administration. Neither the national football federation nor the clubs have developed proper academies to nurture youth development programs. There is hardly any club like Persib Bandung in Indonesian football that has a proper football training school."

Commenting on Indian football, Phillipe explained, "I came to India before the introduction of ISL. I observed that Indian football also has huge potential. But if you want your senior national team to qualify for the World Cup finals ever, the clubs should start nurturing potential kids from the age of 6 to 7 years at their academies. The academies must have modern and scientific training systems. The clubs in Africa are running the game in this manner and that is why you see five African teams participating in the finals of the World Cup almost every year."

Philippe added, "I would like to come to India. If its national federation or any premier club expresses desire then I would be happy to scout and take them to premier French academies for training and exposure as I have been doing for African countries over the years."
