Players Status Committee is yet to take a final decision on Anwar

It is learned that the committee will discuss the disputed issue in its next hearing, which is likely to be held next week.

The All India Football Federation's Players' Status Committee is yet to take a final decision on Anwar Ali. The committee in its meeting on Friday heard Anwar Ali's appeal to terminate his contract with Mohun Bagan Super Giants and sign for East Bengal.

It is learned that the committee will discuss the disputed issue in its next hearing, which is likely to be held next week.

It is also believed that the PSC members had a discussion that if Anwar seeks a NO Objection Certificate from MBSG then he will have to do so at his risk. MBSG top brass revealed that they might claim compensation from Anwar if he has to leave MBSG finally and the amount can be big. MBSG also has reportedly appealed to the AIFF to issue a transfer ban on East Bengal and Delhi FC.

Simultaneously, Delhi FC owner Ranjit Bajaj's tweet on social media has created surprise as he revealed that MBSG had already admitted to the PSC that the club has already issued a NOC to Anwar Ali and he is free to play for any club.
